The virtual world of Artisan may seem like a dream come true and a great escape from the harsh realities and struggles of the real world, However, if you look beyond the shiny surface and past the fantastical distractions, you'll discover something sinister brewing since this world's conception.

Not Another Cliche is an ongoing webcomic about people living inside a virtual world that treats escapism as freedom.
The Concept
Unlike traditional isekai stories, the characters aren’t reincarnated into a fantasy world or playing a game, they’re living inside a artifical university design to prepare them for the real world.

The World of Artisan
Artisan is a digital world.
It was created as a place to prepare people for the real world, a structured environment where skills could be learned, tested, and refined. For those who live there, it’s simply where life happens. You explore, you build relationships, you make choices and keep moving forward.
Most people believe the world is fair or at least predictable.
But some changes happen quietly. Places shift. Rules bend. Memories don’t always line up. Decisions are made out of sight, and by the time they’re felt, it’s already too late to question them.
When your reality is shaped by choices you never agreed to, the question isn’t whether the world works, it’s who it’s really working for.
CHARACTERS
Skye
New to Artisan, she sees the world with fresh eyes and asks the questions others stopped noticing. Her curiosity pulls her into everything the world has to offer and the dangers no one warns her about.
Ackee
A steady hand in a world that often feels out of control. She shapes tools, teaches skills, and quietly keeps things running, showing that understanding the world is as important as surviving it.
Bee
Driven, sharp, and unafraid to challenge what she’s given, Bee lives under pressure and comparison. She fights to define herself on her own terms, even when the odds are stacked against her.
